Drive Along the Coast

What a great way to spend a Sunday--driving along the coast! The weather was a little showery at times, but for the most part, it was fairly pleasant.

First, a stop at the Tillamook Forest Center. I found a journal/scrapbook that described the changes in the forest. I thought it was well done.














Next, a stop in Tillamook, where the Blue Heron Cheese Company was a perfect spot for lunch and a great place to try out different sauces and dips. Later, when the sun came out, the goats were lounging on the farm.

Moving on with the tour, the Tillamook Cheese Factory--lots of folks here enjoying ice cream! I didn't really take any photos here since I've been here a few times.

Then lastly, Seaside, where there were lots of families out enjoying the carnival-like atmosphere of the town. It's amazing how many candy stores are in this town. Some of the candies were ones I haven't seen since I was a kid!

Maybe Seaside isn't the quiet coastal town, but it can be lots of fun!

One more day left until it's back to real life...sigh...

Saturday Morning at the Farmer's Market

Kathy and Charlie picked me up early this morning to check out the Saturday Market, a local farmer's market in our downtown area. While we were there, I decided to capture some of the essence of the Saturday Market.

Lots of dogs, like this cute little dog named Abby who wanted to basically lie down instead of walking...

Neat crafts, like the bird feeder and hanging wood ornaments (Kathy bought a few of these!)...

I love going to Saturday Market, especially on a nice day. Guess I'll have to catch it again (and possibly the Beaverton one) on some Saturday that I don't have anything planned!

My New MiMi Tote!

No one but the scrappers out there will understand this one. I came home from work with this...

It's a kiwi green MiMi tote to hold my supplies for a crop! I've been waiting for this since early March, but it's been on backorder for weeks. Sheri and Sam finally found it at another supplier, and it arrived yesterday. They thought it was so funny that I was so excited about this.

Let's put it this way...when I have to drag more than 2 or 3 bags to get all my crop supplies with me, it's an issue. I have a huge tote on wheels, but pack that baby up, and then it's an issue to lift it and put it in the car. The large wheeled bag is great for all-day crops, but the smaller one will be a lot easier when it comes to going to something that's under 8 hours. Can't wait to use it!
