I decided to pull out the camera since I haven't used in at least a week. Also, I read something recently about switching the mode on my camera to help the blurred look. I've been a little upset that so many of my shots look blurry. Just some random shots...
Magnets that look like Legos--a gift from Kathy...I LOVE 'em!

QOD from Oscar
Today's Quote of the Day:
"Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship."
--Oscar Wilde
Well, that just explained a lot of things!

Tuesday Colors
This is just a quick, silly post because I wanted to put a little color into my life.

These dahlias, which are currently gracing my coffee table, are from the Farmers Market on Saturday. (Kathy's dad told me the variety and some other stuff, but I can't remember any of it!) They are a vivid dark red, almost maroon color--love them! And dahlias here get to be so huge--it's amazing!
And here are the two pounds of jelly beans from the Jelly Belly Factory. I can't believe the whole bag of belly flops fit into a little jar that I bought at IKEA on Friday. (BTW, I am NOT fond of that pink jellybean with the multi-color specks...yuck!)
Have a colorful Tuesday!

Monday Blahs
When I walked into work today, it felt like I had been away for a long time, even though I was there for a few hours on Thursday. Lots to do, even though there really wasn't anyone from my department in the office. The marketing director was in, and he made some comment about how my current contract might be extended. We'll see...
Susie and I are on a mission: to try to duplicate the Lemoncello Cream Torte from Cheesecake Factory. I checked the Internet and found a couple of recipes that we might be able to use. I also found out that limoncello is a liquer from Sicily (hear that, Victor?). Now, Susie is dying to find limoncello in the liquor stores! We've decided that we'll attempt to try to make our version of the cake over Labor Day weekend. Should be interesting! Of course, we'll be doing some research this weekend on our "sample" when we meet up with Laura. I can't believe how much I've been craving the flavor of this dessert!
I got a fun package on Friday...my monthly SEI kit! I haven't really opened all of it up, but I was a little surprised when I saw the letter saying it was my one year anniversary. Have I really been receiving those kits for a year now? It seems like I just started!
Suz unleashed her blog today--about time! With her Internet knowledge, I figured she would have one by now! ;) Just teasing, Suz!
Okay, that's all for now. Have a good week! (And cross your fingers that I'll win Powerball so that I can start a cool business and live in the lap of luxury for the rest of my life--ha!)

Hanging Out at McMenamin's
Glenn's family was in town to help out with the new house, so we all gathered to for a quick dinner at McMenamin's. Since we were also celebrating Glenn's new house, there were presents!
A present for Jack...
And one for Glenn and Josi...a gift card to IKEA! Guess who's going to go shopping soon???
Some other photos from tonight...

Thanks you guys for the laughs and fun, as always!

A Really Nice Saturday...
...to hang out at the Farmers Market!
See the rainbow in the fountain?
Enjoying a Belgian waffle for breakfast. Who knew they had Belgian waffles at the Farmers Market? You can even get chocolate chip ones or strawberries and whipped cream on top!
And all the great fruits and vegetables of summer--along with a few treats!

From the top: beefsteak tomatoes, yummy corn, peaches, sweet Walla Walla onions, jumbo artichokes (and we're going to get some for Victor next time!), Red Velvet cupcakes, and lemon cucumbers.
We also had a little retail therapy at the mall. Suz and I almost got Kathy to have a makeover, but it was a 2-hour wait. Shoot--so close! Then, it was off to the Cheesecake Factory for a light lunch topped off with lemoncello cream torte. I think everyone is hooked on it now! If you haven't tried it--you HAVE to!

Friday Night at IKEA
The girls and I decided to go have a little dinner and spend Friday night at IKEA! On the way to pick up Suz, we saw a little skywriting before the Air Show started...

Charlie does a little shopping before we get to the store...
It's Susie's first visit to our new store!
Right before we start some serious shoppping...
Charlie and Suz look at countertops...
...while Kathy plays in the children's section...

I have a feeling we'll be back again soon...
