Waiting By the Front Door & Call for Photos

What a great sight to see when you arrive home. It's always a fun thing to get packages! Today's package contained some back issues of a couple of scrapbooking magazines. More inspiration--yippee!!!

In other news, I just got off the phone with Laura, who has graciously agreed to allow me to scrapbook some of her twins' photos for class projects. Since I've been doing so many projects, I have to keep finding photos, and it helps when they're not mine. I tend to be a little critical about some of my photos, so it makes it hard to complete a project!

Anyway, if any of you have some photos you'd like to have scrapbooked, give me a holler. I'm always working on different class projects, so it would be a big help to me!
Okay, have to go prep for a class that I'm overseeing tonight (new instructor is teaching)...and Carrie is taking part. Can't wait!

Funny Thought for Today

This was in one of my emails today...

It's better to have loved and lost -
especially if you've got a good lawyer.

Always good to have at least one chuckle a day. ;) Have a great Thursday!

My First Store Display

I don't consider myself a pro at merchandising. I can market stuff, but actually having to do store displays is a little bit of a struggle. Anyway, yesterday Sam had an idea of moving all sorts of stuff around, and now my classes/workshops have a display right near the front counter. In order to do that, though, I had to move all the items that were there (our "New" section) to make space for the shelves that we moved. I figured that by this afternoon, the display would be rearranged since Sam usually has a particular vision. Instead, it was all as I had arranged it when I walked in for my afternoon shift. I'm pretty happy about it, and I actually took photos of the results.

And yes, some of those photos on the class and workshop projects may look familiar to some of you! ;) If you're really interested, you can see the projects up close on the store blog, which I have to update now.

Catch ya later!
